Cuando aparezcas en el Bosque Kokiri, ve al lado oeste del mapa y encontrarás una cueva que te lleva al exterior. Nada más salir del bosque te encontrarás con Saria, quien se despedirá de ti y te regalará la Ocarina de las Hadas.
